What's new at Fyri?
September 30, 2026
- New woodlot traces: record a trail, a watercourse or any other trace while walking with the mobile app, then draw or edit it on the Web map.
- Choose the colour and style (solid, outline, hatched, dotted) of each map layer for your organization. They apply to every map of your FMPs, in the app and in the PDF.
- Set up your organization's FSC logo and printing status: they appear on the FMP cover page.
- When importing an FMP, the biologist's note is now carried over into the general description, under its own heading.
- The regional comparison on the Overview now also works in ecological regions that do not yet have comparable woodlots, thanks to reference polygons.
August 31, 2026
- New "Manage layers" feature: add, replace, reclassify or remove a layer on the map of an existing FMP, with a preview before you confirm and assisted stand matching.
- Delete a duplicate stand yourself, directly from its detail panel, without waiting for the forester.
- Enter a stand's area in either hectares or square metres.
- Edit the expiry date of an imported FMP.
- FMP maps now show a scale bar and a north arrow, on screen and in the PDF.
- From the map legend, hide or show stands by ecological type, as well as completed or pending surveys.
- When re-importing a map, locate conflicting stand numbers directly on the map.
- When importing an FMP, shapefile stands with no match in the Excel files are identified during the review, before the plan is created.
- Report an issue or submit an improvement request in the app, and follow the status of your requests from a dashboard designed to track them.
July 31, 2026
- New owner and signatory management: add owners without an email address, legal entities, or joint owners with their signing representative. Owner cards also appear in the PDF.
- Open a stand's details in a side panel over the list, and find any stand with the new search field.
- Download the PDF directly from its preview.
- The regional comparison relies on a reference region when your woodlot's region does not yet have measurements.
- Specify the type of each FFEIE observation (Observed, Potential, Mapped) and cite the source of mapped elements.
- Add notes about the map: they appear below the general map in the PDF.
- The "Vulnerable to harvesting" protection status is now available for ecological elements of interest.
- An FMP can now include several assessment units, each grouping its own lots.
- FFEIE compliance fields are now optional and no longer block saving.
June 30, 2026
- V1 of FMP export according to PAFB (Enhanced Forest Management Plan) requirements.
- Detailed FFEIE (Wildlife, Flora and Ecological Elements of Interest) fields are no longer mandatory when creating a standard FMP, allowing them to be used outside the PAFB context or completed later.
- Added a PDF preview of the generated FMP/PAFB in the forester and technician interfaces.
- Real-time technician/owner location integrated on the app map.
- Foresters can now add PDF sheets of their choice to tasks, including prescription documents.
- Display of foresters' personalized logo and contact information on the cover page of the PDF generated by Fyri.

- Foresters can now add and manage their own PDF description sheets for FFEIE elements.
- Added a "Discussions" section for woodlot owners, bringing together exchanges with the forester and conversations with the AI chatbot.

March 27, 2026
- The "Add a landmark" feature in the mobile app lets you place a marker anywhere on the map and attach notes of your choice. Ideal for suggesting map changes once back at the office!
- Stand "height classes" are now expressed in metres rather than codes (e.g. "10 metres" instead of "C4"). This improves clarity by using universal language instead of Quebec-specific coding that clients often find unclear.
- The one-generation limit for AI stand descriptions has been lifted; usage is temporarily unlimited. We will adjust limits later to encourage generous but reasonable use! :)
- Improvement: the "Cadastre Code" field is no longer required when creating an FMP. Note that this number corresponds to the alphanumeric code of the old pre-cadastral renovation unit registry. Example: "Saint-Antoine = code 3585". Use as required by regional agencies, or leave blank.
- Improvement: areas are now displayed in hectares on the FMP overview page.
- Bug fix: identification labels for concave-shaped stands now appear inside them rather than in a potentially empty space.
- Bug fix: land use and zoning data entered during FMP creation now display correctly on the overview page.
March 13, 2026
- We now have access to organization accounts and the FMPs they produce to help them debug when requested. All client FMP information is of course protected by our privacy policy.
- Municipality codes added to the FMP, with automatic population of MRC and administrative region fields based on municipality selection.
- Bug fix: sidebar display issue on lower-resolution screens.
March 5, 2026
- U.S. patent application filed for ArborIA, our artificial intelligence engine that assists forest technicians and engineers in drafting personalized notes, analyses and recommendations for the FMP.
